Class M10 travels very successfully on the Northern railway line and the Coastal Railway lines. Class M10A 945 came on a trial run to Kandy in 2013 Watch my video about this, Since the trial wasn't a success Class M10 isn't used on the Up country line. But, the engine is capable of travelling upto Kandy and to Nawalapitiya on the Up Country railway line.
This engine isn't used on the Kelani Valley, Matale and Puttalam Railway lines.
